What should be prioritized when looking for a job - 401k? Insurance coverage? Room for growth? Benefits?
People will have different priorities when it comes to a new career. It can depend on things such as where you currently are in your career and what your future plans are. As some one who is still young and starting his current career, “room for growth” was a major priority for me. I understood that I would have to pay my dues as a newbie, but I was willing to sacrafice for the potential of growth. You definitely should plan your retirement by investing in your retirement plan. Starting early in your career is the best thing you can do for planning your retirement. But since I have a good number of years before I really worry about retiring, I decided to place that a little lower on my priority list. But please note that I did start investing into my plan from the beginning. Benefits are always key as they can add to your quality of life factor. Getting your yearly health check ups and dental appointments are important to keeping a healthy life style. If you have dependents, then these benefits may prove to be even more important to you as having a family plan can help dearly on keeping health costs down for you and your family. Since I am still young and single, this did not apply to me.
