The hardest part is getting the great job. Most of us didn’t find our great job on our first try. In fact, you may get what you think is your ideal job…but only to find out that it isn’t.
This part of your life definitely fits into the trial and error category. So don’t feel discouraged about finding that great job right away. Your preferences may change over time anyways.
Once you have landed an ideal job, you probably want to keep it. Assuming that you are a responsible person, this part shouldn’t be the hardest. Just don’t be afraid to ask questions or to answer back with the scary phrase, “I don’t know.” Employers rather explain to you how to do something correctly than have to scream at you about how you made a mistake that you had no idea on how to catch in the first place.
The bottom line is…. be open and willing to learn! You would be surprised on how much weight is put on the personality factor when considering hiring someone. People don’t want to work with those who are hard to be around. It makes the wonderful life of work that much harder. So if you don’t have any personality at all… dig deep and find some. Trust me, you’ll keep your job a lot longer and even grow to higher positions when others have positive things to say about you.
